The chain should rest taut and in place so there is no shifting when a load is being maneuvered. If the operator of the forklift complains that the forklift seems to be generating a lot of heat, it is important to have the equipment checked out by a professional right away. There are a few things that can cause your forklift to overheat, such as lacking lubrication in moving parts and problems with the battery itself. No matter what the cause, unchecked overheating can be detrimental to the entire piece of equipment.
